Travel Privilege

Aeroexpress offers free-of-charge transportation to passengers entitled to travel privilege on railway. To travel, passengers must be issued a free-of-charge travel document.

The following persons are entitled to free-of-charge travel:

Federal passengers

  • Disabled war veterans
  • Former underage prisoners of fascism
  • WWII veterans
  • Ware veterans listed in items 1-4, paragraph 1, Article 3 of the Federal Law “On Veterans”
  • Military servicemen who served in military units, institutions, military educational institutions that were not part of the active army in the period from 22/06/1941 to 03/09/1945 for at least 6 (six) months; military servicemen awarded with USSR orders and medals for their service in the above period
  • Persons awarded with a badge of "Resident of Besieged Leningrad", "Resident of Besieged Sevastopol", "Resident of Besieged Stalingrad"
  • Persons working during World War II at air defense facilities, local air defense, construction of defensive structures, naval bases, airfields and other military facilities within the rear boundaries of the active fronts, operational zones of the active fleets, on frontline sections of railroads and motor roads, as well as crew members of transport fleet vessels integrated in foreign ports at the start of World War II
  • Family members of killed/deceased: war invalids, veterans of World War II, combat veterans, personnel of self-defense groups of facility and emergency teams of local air defense, personnel of Leningrad hospitals
  • Disabled persons
  • Disabled children
  • Persons accompanying disabled persons of group I, persons recognized as disabled of group II and III in accordance with the established procedure before January 1, 2010, having limited capacity for labor of the III degree (valid till regular examination), and disabled children. A free-of-charge ticket for the accompanying person is issued based on full set of documents for such person, as well as his/her personal identification document
  • Persons exposed to radiation as a consequence of the Chernobyl accident, following nuclear tests at the Semipalatinsk site, and equivalent categories of persons
  • Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Russian Federation, Full Cavaliers of the Order of Glory.
  • Heroes of the Socialist Labor, Labor Heroes of the Russian Federation, Full Cavaliers of the Order of Labor Glory

The list is subject to change if changes are made to the legislation of the Russian Federation.

To obtain a free-of-charge ticket for a companion, please provide a full package of documents for the privileged passenger and the companion's identity document.

Regional passengers (Moscow residents)

  • Home Front Workers: persons working in the home front from 22/06/1941 to 09/05/1945 for at least 6 (six) months, excluding the period of work in temporarily occupied territories of the USSR, or awarded the orders and medals of the USSR for selfless labor in WWII
  • War veterans and equivalent persons as of December 31, 2004:

– Persons awarded orders or medals of the USSR or the Russian Federation, or awarded honorary titles of the USSR or the Russian Federation, or awarded certificates of honor of the President of the Russian Federation or awarded a commendation of the President of the Russian Federation, or awarded agency distinctions for merits in labor (service) and long-term work (service) of at least 15 years in the relevant field (industry) and having service record (pensionable service) accounted for pension purposes of at least 25 years for men and 20 years for women or having the length of service to qualify for long-service pension in calendar terms

– Persons entering the labor as minors during World War II and having a service record (pensionable service) of at least 40 years for men and 35 years for women

– Military service veterans

– Holders of Labor Veteran Certificate

  • Rehabilitated persons:

– Persons subjected to repressions such as imprisonment, exile, expulsion, deportation to special settlement, forced labor in restricted conditions, including "NKVD labor units", other restrictions on rights and freedoms, unjustly admitted to psychiatric institutions and subsequently rehabilitated

– Children with their parents or their surrogates who were politically repressed, imprisoned, exiled, expelled, deported to special settlements, or children deprived of care of parents (parent) who were unjustifiably repressed for political reasons and subsequently rehabilitated

  • Persons recognized as victims of political repressions: children, spouses, parents of persons executed or deceased in prison and rehabilitated postmortem
  • Children of War - persons born between September 4, 1927 and September 3, 1945
  • Children of multi-child families under 18 years of age
  • Orphans and children deprived of parental care, persons belonging to orphans and children deprived of parental care, persons who lost both parents or sole parent during their study, studying full-time, at the expense of Moscow budget under main professional educational programs and (or) professional training programs for workers/officers
  • Children raised in families of persons participating in the pilot project on property support for families fostering older and/or disabled children under foster family agreements, and who do not reside in Moscow
  • Persons awarded with the badges "Honorary Donor of Russia", "Honorary Donor of the USSR", "Honorary Donor of Moscow"
  • Pensioners entitled to a pension in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation who are not included in the categories of citizens entitled to social support measures for commuter suburban rail travel under the laws and other regulations of the Russian Federation and the laws of Moscow.
  • Women over 55 and men over 60 having pensionable service to qualify for social security old-age pension in accordance with federal legislation on pension
  • Women over 55 and men over 60 awarded a status of Labor Veteran, Military Service Veteran.
  • Parents and other legal representatives of disabled children
  • Parent of a person disabled since childhood, who is studying in educational organizations of secondary professional education and higher education (for bachelor's, specialist's or master's degree) under 23 years of age
  • Parents of multi-child families until their youngest child reaches 18 years of age
  • One of the guardians, custodians, foster parents, foster caregivers (sole guardian, custodian, foster parent, foster caregiver) of an orphaned child or a child deprived of parental care under 18 years of age

Foster parents participating in the pilot project on property support for families fostering older children and (or) disabled children under foster family agreements in accordance with Moscow Government Resolution No. 8-PP "On Pilot Project on Property Support for Families Fostering Older Children and (or) Disabled Children under Foster Family Agreements in Moscow" dd. 23/01/2014, during their participation in the said pilot project.


To obtain a free-of-charge ticket for a companion, please provide a full package of documents for the privileged passenger and the companion's identity document.

Privilege travel on Aeroexpress is offered in two categories: Standard and Standard Two-Way.

A Standard one-way ticket can be issued 10 days prior to the expected date of travel, a Two-Way ticket can be issued only on the day of travel.

Validity term of privilege tickets:

• Standard ticket is valid for one one-way trip within the date specified in the ticket up to one hour of the following day

• Standard Two-Way ticket is valid for one outbound trip and one inbound trip within the date specified in the ticket and the following date.

You can apply for a privilege ticket in ticket offices, ticket machines, on the website and in Aeroexpress mobile app .

Applying for privilege travel in a ticket office:

Privileged passengers of the federal level must present:

  • Identification document
  • Privilege document (or a valid social security card of Moscow resident, social security card of Moscow region resident)
  • Certificate issued by the social security body (Social Fund of Russia) and the social security number (SNILS)

 

Privileged passengers of the regional level must present:

  • Identification document
  • Social security card of the Moscow resident with a valid privilege or a temporary unified social ticket
  • Document confirming the privileged status

Applying for privilege travel online

You can apply for a privilege e-ticket in ticket offices, on the website and in Aeroexpress mobile app.

  1. Visit any Aeroexpress ticket office and receive a personal confirmation code for authorization on our website/mobile app. This requires an identification document, document confirming privilege, social security number (SNILS), social security travel card (if any).
  2. Enter the confirmation code once on website/mobile app, enter your SNILS and date of birth. Phone number and address are also required.
  3. After saving, privilege tickets feature will become available in Order section . Once you save your privilege data, no re-entering (online or in ticket office) is required.

A maximum of two privileged e-tickets can be issued at a time.

Only companions of disabled persons of group I and disabled children can be issued privileged e-tickets.
If required, the passenger must present documents confirming the entitlement to the privilege and an identity document to Aeroexpress staff at the turnstile.

Applying for privilege travel in a ticket machine

You can obtain a privilege ticket in any Aeroexpress ticket machine.

To print the ticket, choose “Privilege” on ticket machine screen, then tap your social security travel card to the card reader.
