The rules of travel in express

THE RULES OF PASSENGER, LUGGAGE AND CARGO-LUGGAGE TRANSPORTATIONS BY АEROEXPRESS TRAINS

1. These rules have beeneveloped in accordance with the chapter of the Russian Railways OJSC and the rules of passenger Luggage and cargo-luggage transportations by railway transport.

2. When travelling by electric trains, passengers shall keep public order and current rules of railway transport.

3. In order to travel by an "Aeroexpress" electric train, a passenger shall purchase a ticket for a single trip or two-way ticket, or a commutation ticket of the prescribed form, and keep the travel document (ticket) throughout the entire travel by the electric train, up to the moment of exiting through the travel documents check-point.

4. A passenger shall show the ticket to the train ticket ispectors.

5. If passenger in an “Aeroexpress” electric train have no ticket or it is not valid, the passenger deemed to be travelling without a ticket and is charged the full cost of the trip according to the tariff of the “Aeroexpress” electric train company and the processing fee.

6. Single travel documents (tickets) are valid for a one way trip.

7. Single tickets purchased for one way trip are valid during the day of purchase. If validity period of the travel document (ticket) on the electric train expires when a passenger is on the way, the travel document (ticket) is valid until the passenger arrives at the railway station. Single tickets purchased for a two-way trip are valid for 24 hours.

8. A child not older than 5 years may travel with a passenger for free. For one child aged 5 to 7 a passenger has to purchase children's tickets. In case of doubts about age of children, who are being transported for free or with children's ticket, ticket inspectors are authorized to request production of corresponding documents that confirm child's age.

9. When travelling by electric train, a passenger may have the full cost of the trip refunded in case of unplanned break in the train performance for more than one hour. At the same time, in other cases money for the unused tickets is not refunded. Money paid for the unused commutation ticket has to be refunded according to the Rules of Passenger, Luggage and Cargo-Luggage Transportations.

10. In case a passenger presents a single ticket or a commutation ticket for the train other than “Aeroexpress”, the passenger is considered to be ticketless and has to pay the full cost of the trip according to the fare fixed for a given type of transportation. A "Day Off" commutation ticket for the train other than “Aeroexpress” is not valid for this kind of transportation.

11.  A person, who has the right to pay travel cost with a discount or travel for free, shall present a document confirming his or her identity, as well as documents confirming the abovementioned right, in order to receive a travel document (ticket) for the electric train.

12. One ticket gives a passenger the right to occupy only one seat. When there are no free sitting places in the train, passen­gers may travel standing, and the cost of the ticket remains the same.
