The visit to the terminal was part of the familiarization tour over Moscow’s railway stations arranged by the Directorate of Railway Stations, OJSC Russian Railway’s subsidiary, in order to exchange experience with the French partners in railway station management business and in development of intermodal passenger service.
Representatives from Aeroexpress told the honored guests about the passenger service technologies applied at the terminal: the specifics of ticket issuance, check-in for flights, and baggage processing and check-in.
At the end of the meeting, the representatives of SNCF gave a high score to the quality of services rendered by Aeroexpress and also noted the new contemporary electric trains AERO, carrying passengers to the airports. They were surprised to learn that those trains are manufactured in Russia and serve up to 7 thousand passengers a day on average (Aeroexpress’ passenger flow between Belorussky Railway Station and Sheremetyevo Airport). The Russian operator’s performance indicators exceed those of its counterparts in the European market, the level of service in intermodal operations being comparable.
