Aeroexpress to introduce a new frequent timetable for 2010-2011 on May 30

May 18, 2010

Starting from May 30, 2010, LLC Aeroexpress together with Moscow Railway (a branch of OJSC Russian Railways) will introduce a new frequent timetable to remain in effect through to July 2011 on all of its routes. For the convenience of its passengers, Aeroexpress will increase the frequency of electric trains in peak hours by introducing, all in all, 34 more trains a day.

According to the new timetable, 20 Aeroexpresses will be added on the Belorussky Railway Station – Sheremetyevo Airport line with the total number of trains growing from 52 to 72 a day. In particular, the following Aeroexpresses will be commuting between Moscow and Sheremetyevo Airport: the 5:30 (instead of the 5:50), 6:00, 6:30, 8:30, 18:30, 20:00, 21:00, 22:00, 23:00, 00:00 and 00:30 departing from Belorussky Railway Station; and the 7:30, 9:00, 17:30, 19:30, 20:30, 21:30, 23:00, 00:00, 00:30 and 01:00 departing from the airport.

Starting from May 30, Aeroexpresses running on the Belorussky Railway Station – Sheremetyevo Airport line will not make a stop at Savyolovsky Railway Station.

10 Aeroexpresses will be added on the Paveletsky Railway Station – Domodedovo Airport line with the total number of trains increasing from 59 to 69 a day. In particular, the following Aeroexpresses will be running between Moscow and Domodedovo Airport: the 7:30, 13:30, 15:30, 17:30, 21:30 and 00:00 departing from Paveletsky Railway Station; and the 14:30, 16:30, 17:30 and 23:30 departing from the airport.

3 more Aeroexpresses will be running on the Kievsky Railway Station – Vnukovo Airport line (a growth from 34 to 37 trains a day). In particular, the following Aeroexpresses will service the line between Moscow and Vnukovo Airport: the 06:00 and 14:00 departing from Kievsky Railway Station; and the 05:37 departing from the airport. Thus, trains between Moscow and Vnukovo Airport will be running with one-hour intervals without a longer gap in the daytime.

The new timetable is LLC Aeroexpress’ next step to improve the quality of passenger service. An average of 26 thousand people (of which 23 thousand are airport passengers) use the company services every day. Year by year Aeroexpress is becoming a more demanded mode of transport to get to/from the airports, and in anticipation of summer holidays denser passenger traffic is expected, with the company forecasting a growth of 25%.

Currently, Aeroexpress is carrying out work to upgrade the rolling stock on the Paveletsky Railway Station – Domodedovo Airport line and to prepare Business Class coaches that will start running as part of trains travelling to/from Vnukovo and Domodedovo Airports at the beginning of June 2010. Let us remind that Business Class coaches are already available in Aeroexpresses commuting between Moscow and Sheremetyevo Airport since February this year. In doing so Aeroexpress creates an all-in-one intermodal travel service convenient for the passengers so that they could get the same high level of service when travelling to any airport.
