Aeroexpress is developing a system of electronic train ticket sales with the aim of increasing the quality of its passenger service. Aeroexpress is installing automatic ticket printing machines in airports and train stations. By the end of fall, 2010, the total number of ticket printing machines will reach 56 units.

Aeroexpress has already installed a total of 21 automatic ticket sales machines in city train stations, as well as in the train station at Sheremetyevo Airport. Work is currently being done to install another 35 automatic ticket sales machines in the baggage claim areas in Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Sheremetyevo Airports. This work is planned to be finished in the fall of 2010.

Using automatic ticket sales machines will save passengers' time when ordering and paying for train tickets, especially at rush hour. Aeroexpress is considering installing additional automatic machines this year in service areas with the highest passenger flow.

It is simple and convenient to buy tickets through automatic machines. Passengers can pay for their own Aeroexpress tickets and print them using the automatic ticket-printing machine. Tickets can be bought for general seating (300 rubles per person) or for business class (500 rubles per person). Children’s tickets cost 100 and 250 rubles depending on age.

Currently the machines installed take cash, and are equipped with the ability to provide change. In the near future these machines will be additionally equipped with a module for accepting payment by bank card. The first such automatic machine is currently being tested at the Aeroexpress Terminal at the Belorussky Train Station.

Aeroexpress gave a presentation of its first automatic ticket sales machine at the opening ceremony of the Aeroexpress Terminal at the Belorussky Train Station in August, 2009. The program for installing automatic ticket sales machines has already proven its effectiveness: about 4,000 tickets are sold per day on average to Aeroexpress passengers using such machines.
