Aeroexpress Introduces Changes to Its Ticket Appearance

Jun 14, 2017

In connection with amendments introduced to Federal Law FZ-54, an additional QR-code will appear on all Aeroexpress tickets, independent of the way they are purchased.

This change in the ticket appearance will allow passengers using the company’s services to obtain extra information regarding the ticket purchasing procedure. In addition to the QR-code already present on Aeroexpress paper tickets and required to pass through the turnstiles, a second one will be added. By scanning it, passengers will be able to receive ticket purchasing instructions on their mobile phones. Passengers stating a preference for buying tickets online will, for the first time, receive a receipt by email, together with the purchased ticket. They can then provide their receipt to their accounting department in order to report on a business trip.  As of today, the new format tickets are already available at the Aeroexpress terminals at Sheremetyevo Airport. Starting from July, tickets with two QR-codes will be issued at all of the company’s terminals.

According to the amendments made to the federal law, Russian companies shall use cash register equipment with a fiscal storage drive.  First of all, this is due to changes in the format according to which businesses shall interact with tax authorities.  Other changes were made in relation to new ways that customers can obtain their receipts. At the customer’s request, companies shall provide a receipt proving purchase to the specified email or via an SMS.
