The company predicts passenger traffic to reach approximately 120,000 passengers on 29-31 December, which is 10-15% higher compared to the same period last year. In 2017, the highest number of passengers was transported on 29 December, totaling 45,000 people.
“Aeroexpress is fully prepared to work under conditions of increased passenger flow. We have extended the trains on Sheremetyevo route by adding extra carriages for the period before the New Year and during the holidays. Domodedovo and Vnukovo routes are served by double-decker trains of enhanced capacity. The growth of passenger traffic will not affect the comfort and quality of service offered by Aeroexpress. All trains will run according to the timetable,” said Alina Bisembaeva, CEO of Aeroexpress.
Nearly 200,000 people have travelled by Aeroexpress trains from the beginning of the week.
According to the Aviasales travel service, 30 December is expected to be the busiest day at Moscow’s airports this year. 25% of all bookings are made for this date. On this date experts recommend arriving at the airport ahead of time and not commuting to the airport by car.
