Over 800 Passengers Use New Aeroexpress Stops at Skolkovo and Odintsovo on First Day

Nearly 350 and 450 people boarded and alighted trains at the Odintsovo and Skolkovo stations, respectively.

Aeroexpress trains serving the Sheremetyevo route started running to the Odintsovo station on 21 November, as part of the integration into MCD-1. This innovation will make it possible to travel between Odintsovo and Sheremetyevo Airport without the need to transfer, which will significantly facilitate and reduce travel time to and from one of the largest cities of the Moscow region, as well as other districts located near the stations of the Belorussky link of the Moscow Railways.

It is also noteworthy that from now Aeroexpress passengers travelling along the Sheremetyevo route can have a ride not only to the airport but also to the stations located between Odintsovo and Okruzhnaya at the MCD-1 fares (without going to the airport).

Aeroexpress double-decker vehicles, produced by the Swiss company Stadler, will start running along the extended route before the end of this year, ensuring high capacity and comfort. The company has already put a few such vehicles into operation along this route, and the first MCD passengers were able to evaluate comfortable conditions inside their carriages.

The cost of travel for passengers going to/from the airport is equal to the Aeroexpress fares. The price of tickets for travellers boarding and alighting trains at the intermediate stops and not going to the airport complies with the MCD fares.
