Aeroexpress Team Finishes Second in Stage Two of the Russian Lada Granta Cup

The Aeroexpress Racing team participated in stage two of the Russian Lada Granta Cup, held on 27-28 August 2011 in Myachkovo near Moscow.

The Aeroexpress Racing team participated in stage two of the Russian Lada Granta Cup, held on 27-28 August 2011 in Myachkovo near Moscow.

11 teams competed in the racing programme, completing testing and qualifying rounds, as well as races during the weekend. Participating teams drive Lada Granta racing cars, powered by turbo petrol engines, delivering 240 hp, sequential manual transmissions, special racing suspension and improved brakes.

The Aeroexpress Racing team, participating in the racing series, consists of two crews. Mikhail and Yury Loboda, number 33, are Candidates of Master of Sports, scoring numerous race wins in the Russian Autocross Cup, and with two years of successful racing experience abroad, in the French Renault Clio Cup. The second crew, number 67, includes Rustam Akiniyazov, Commercial Director of Aeroexpress and Master of Sports, and Ilya Kamensky, who is also equipped with a Master of Sports qualification.

During the racing weekend the Aeroexoress Racing crews came in second twice during the races. After stage two, the Loboda brothers are positioned fourth in the Russian Cup, with 45 points. Rustam Akiniyazov and Ilya Kamensky share third position, with 49 points each.
